Saveur Singapore

Saveur is a small French bistro along Purvis Street (near The Raffles Hotel) that serves cheap casual French food.  Attracting the younger crowd, expect a longer than usual line especially during dinner time.  We waited at least 30mins to get a table on a weeknight.

Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2012

3-Day F1 Race, Jay Chou Concert, Maroon 5 Concert, Katy Perry Concert, Anniversary Buffet Lunch

Age is really catching up on us (Sel & I), we were super tired after the 3-day Singapore F1 Grand Prix weekend. Although I enjoyed the race, I am not really a big fan, I was more into the concerts more than anything else to be honest. The concerts start after they have cleared the cars from the tracks, about 11-ish so just imagine how tired we were every single night.

Uno Restaurant Manila

It has been a few years since my last visit at UNO and I have already forgotten about how good their breads (and food) are until last week.  It was during lunch, after my acupuncture and I was really hungry so while waiting for our food, I set my eyes & prepare my tummy for the breads.

Mesa Restaurant Tomas Morato Manila

My last meal in Manila was at Mesa in Tomas Morato. The food was impressive and the price, relatively cheap” (by local & Singapore Standards). No regrets on the calories that went into my tummy that night! Delish!

Manila Travel and Food

My day started quite early the day I left for Manila, I was up at 4am to prepare for Sel’s 6am flight to North America and I couldn’t go back to sleep thereafter so I started to clean the house and prepare (luggage & online check-in) for my own flight at 2pm, the same day.

I was so busy a couple of weeks ago with all the travels here and there that I have completely forgotten to share here my latest “achievement” *ahem* — Two of my photos have been chosen to be included in the August 2012 Edition of the National Geographic Traveller Magazine.

thirty two

32. I had a very enjoyable first weekend back in Singapore (after being away for almost 2 weeks) celebrating my birthday with non other than Selwyn. I was originally scheduled to fly back to Manila with my mom on my birthday but we rescheduled it to this week instead. I don’t think I can bear the thought of missing Selwyn’s birthday a week before and not spending my birthday with him while I am actually back in Asia. It was a good call!

Scandinavia Trip

Singapore. Our 11 hour & 30 mins flight from Copenhagen taxied Changi Airport terminal early yesterday morning. It was an easy, smooth and relaxing plane ride back, and the service we got from our flight’s crew members were really commendable. At one point I was telling my mom that one of the flight attendant was almost too eager & too enthusiastic to serve. It really makes a big difference if you love your job and we DO appreciate these kind gestures in return.
