The only Chinese restaurant in the historic centre of Siena is the La Rosa Ristorante Cinese. It is more like a Chinese take-away place and an Asian grocery store combined.

Il David Ristorante is located at the Piazza Signoria in Florence. You know that you are in the Piazza if you are able to see the replica of the Statue of David, just before you reach the Uffizi Museum.
Antica Osteria Da Divo is a restaurant within the historic centre of Siena (UNESCO World Heritage Site) near the Piazza del Campo. Siena is very much like Venice, a city where you’ll get lost easily while navigating through its narrow alleys, don’t worry, Google maps can always guide you to your destination.
If you have just done your shopping, walking along the streets of Champs-Élysées then continuing on to Avenue Montaigne, most likely your feet will start to hurt (and it seems like moving one more step could just potentially cripple you for the rest of your life), if you are feeling this, all you need to do is to STOP – for a cup of coffee or a bottle of coke.
We had lunch at Au Bougnat after visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. It had started to rain so we scouted the area for places to eat and finally, decided to try Au Bougnat.
The Laughing Gravy is another restaurant worth trying whether you live or just visiting London.
Two of my favourite roast duck place in London are Gold Mine Restaurant (above) & Four Seasons and both are a few meters apart in Bayswater. As far as I know Gold Mine has only 1 outlet in London while Four Seasons has three – Chinatown, Wardour Street & Bayswater.
We visited both restaurant and surprisingly, their roast duck smells and tastes as good or even better than what we could get here in Singapore.
We had lunch at Rosso Pomodoro on our last day in Florence. Rosso Pomodoro is a chain of restaurant with over 80 outlets worldwide, but because of the negative connotation often associated with “restaurant chains”, we were a little bit apprehensive for a moment until we were re-assured by a real Italian homemaker.
“Let me put it this way, in our family, it is either I make the pizza or we visit Rosso Pomodoro” – Mamma Italiano; hotel owner.
We thank the signora at our fabulous hotel – Hotel Colomba for recommending Trattoria San Lorenzo to us. Our dinner was one the most memorable meal we had while we were in Florence.
