I was on my thirties when I began to appreciate the joy of having a good croissant and now, it has became one of my favourite choice of bread whenever I chance upon them in a bakery. From the classic to the chocolates to the almond croissants, I love them all equally.
32. I had a very enjoyable first weekend back in Singapore (after being away for almost 2 weeks) celebrating my birthday with non other than Selwyn. I was originally scheduled to fly back to Manila with my mom on my birthday but we rescheduled it to this week instead. I don’t think I can bear the thought of missing Selwyn’s birthday a week before and not spending my birthday with him while I am actually back in Asia. It was a good call!
Smitten Coffee & Tea Bar is one of many cafes/coffee shops that you can visit around Robertson Quay area. It is located in a more secluded area without the river view, but just the same, a cuppa is equally enjoyable. And besides, not all like the sun anyway and the ambiance is as relaxing or even better than the ones frequented by many.
Wok & Barrel is a cafe located at the very end of Duxton Hill in Tanjong Pagar. According to their website, they bring together the best of Singaporean flavours in a casual relaxed dining environment. To my disappointment, the only thing that I liked about this cafe is the relaxed & quiet atmosphere when seated outdoors, overlooking the greens and car park in the surrounding area.
