It didn’t matter if was Selwyn’s first and last time to suggest something during our recent trip to London because the result was fantastic – the best breakfast we’ve ever had in London – at Megan’s.  And because of that, I reckon Megan’s should be in everyone’s list of best breakfast places in London, so if Megan’s is not in your list yet, I urge you to add it NOW!

Main entrance from street level.

Very homey atmosphere.

Outdoor seating area.

Megan’s prides itself as West-London’s hidden treasure. At Megan’s, you’ll enjoy a well-made hearty breakfast in a homey and relaxing environment, a place where you can just slowly enjoy your meal without any stress. And If you are not early enough for breakfast, rest assure there is always something for your throughout the day as Megan’s also serves light snacks like breads, desserts & coffees, and at night, an evening menu that includes mixed platters of salads and char-grilled mains.

Back to our breakfast – Choosing something for breakfast is always easy for me as I normally go with the basics – eggs, mushrooms, bacons, sausages and toast, it was a bonus that in Megan’s, the meal also come with a small bowl of baked beans.

Bacon, Choice of Eggs, Sausage, Tomato, Mushroom, Baked Beans & Toast (£7.95)

My plate came and I was surprised by the big portion,  that day, I ended up skipping lunch because I was still too full.

Mr. Benedict of course ordered something very predictable.

Eggs Benedict on Toast (£8.90)

Notice that the Two poached eggs are on top of a single long flat bread – normally each egg sits on top of 1 bread.  The way they have made it at Megan’s is something very unique atleast for me.  The hollandaise sauce was equally as good as the perfectly poached eggs.

Coffee, juice & take-away counter.

We also ordered a cappuccino (£2) and a glass of fresh orange juice (£3.90).  We returned back the orange juice because of the dirty cup, it was replaced and we weren’t charged for it. Yay!

Our visit at Megan’s really exceeded our expectations.  Good food, great ambiance and friendly staff.  Very highly recommended.
