There’s never a good time to visit Shake Shack, it seems like the line is permanently there and it only boils down to how much you want to wait for their burgers. Last Sunday my sister & I went past Shake Shack near the Flatiron Building and decided to join the queue.
My Shake Shack Timeline:

6:15pm – I thought the line was pretty decent, it was long but not 2 miles long.

6:20pm – the sky is still bright and the line was moving very slow.

6:23pm – they switched on the evening lights as the sun was about to set.

6:25pm – much darker skies.

6:29pm – Taken just before Hanna surrendered and left me in line for church.

6:37pm – halfway to the counter.

6:50pm – first clear view of the counter.

6:55pm – down to 2 people in front of me.

6:57pm – I finally got to order and received my vibrating alert stick.

7:05pm – a glimpse of the kitchen where everything is made to order.

And finally… at 7:10pm – after waiting for 55 minutes, I finally got my burgers.

ShackBurger / SmokeShack / Shack-cago Dog / Strawberry Milkshake
My favourite was the SmokeShack, it had the added heat from the cherry peppers and the super crispy bacon was just YUM! The burgers were done in medium well, it was juicy and very tasty – very good overall.
The wait was a pain but I think it’s all worth it. I just make sure that next time I am with someone that will queue with me until the end. It’s very boring to be in line alone even with an iPhone. lol!
