I had no clue whatsoever that California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) at the Forum Mall underwent a renovation until yesterday. I actually liked the new version better than the old one.
Unlike the old 2 floors set-up, now everything is in 1 floor – the main pizza oven, the kitchen and the dining hall. It is less scattered and the waitstaff are more efficient.


It was a toss-up between having chicken rice at Boon Tong Kee or the Kung Pao Chicken Pasta at the California Pizza Kitchen for our Sunday lunch, obviously, CPK won – by just the thought of the Kung Pao sauce. Yum!

Kung Pao Spaghetti with Chicken & Shrimps (S$22.90)
Classic Kung Pao sauce with garlic, green onions, peanuts and hot red chilies.

We thought a pizza together with the pasta might be too heavy so we opted for a salad instead.

The food was good as expected, except for the peanuts that went together with the pasta. It tasted old and smells like old oil, but no biggy, we just manually removed it from the plate and carried on with our meal. I was actually in no mood to argue…
I also took a photo of my favourite hot sauce – Cholula. I really love it especially together with the pizza.
