Our latest coffee adventure lead us to this newly opened, Strangers Reunion, a quaint little cafe along Kampung Bahru Road. Both Selwyn & I enjoyed our first visit so much that we’ve decided to go back just 2 days after the first.
You know you’ve reached the right place once you hit a panel of white-coloured distressed doors, parked with a blue deconstructed easel by the sidewalk. The blue easel doubles up as a placeholder for the cafe signage and the menu.
Our first visit was on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was packed from the front door to the back. We opted the couch seat instead of the squeezing ourselves together with the rest at the back. This proved to be a wise decision especially when things were getting more chaotic as more people come.

We ordered a mocha and a latte, the mocha looked very pretty and the taste was equally satisfying. I also like the colour combination of the cup and the saucer, which against the wooden table, looks very cottage.
We liked the balanced taste of both our latte and mocha, it was neither too sweet nor too bitter. It was just right.

The second time we went to Strangers Reunion was on a weeknight, just right after dinner. The atmosphere was far more relaxing than our previous visit, there were less people and the staff were more relaxed. We also got a chance to chat with Ryan Tan – the two-time National Barista Champion (2011/2012) and owner of the cafe.
This time, we ordered a cappuccino and mocha. I also specifically requested a “tulip” art for the cappucino (above).

The mocha art also looks impressive. The price for 1 coffee is about S$5+.

Apart from the 2 coffees, Sel also tried the waffles with banana, strawberries & vanilla ice cream (S$8).

Hello yummy calories!
Food & coffee aside, I also love the Shabby Chic interior design as seen through the choice of furnishings and accessories.

So, if you are planning your next coffee adventure in Singapore, adding Stangers’ Reunion to your list is definitely a must. You’ll not regret it for sure, and it is without a doubt, worth the visit.

what’s the coffee and waffle pricing like?
Coffee is about S$5+ and waffles are S$8.
Hey! What else do they serve there?
Any main courses or just coffee and waffles?
Thanks!
Mostly coffee. They have waffles, yoghurt, and a selection of pastries too…muffins and puff pastries. I did not try those though. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much! Really helped a lot!
Hi, I’m doing a school assignment on food reviews.
Do you know when exactly did this cafe opened?
Thanks
It’s open everyday except Tuesdays from 9am-10pm
Looks like a must-visit!
