Singapore to New York – more than 24hours of travelling time but it is sooo worth it! We arrived and my sister was waiting for us in her iPod at Grand Central, her first few sentences after saying hello to us included…“Let’s go Chatime!” and so we went after a quick shower.

For some reason, the nearest Chatime is in Chinatown, so Sel immediately craved for an Asian dinner – Roast Duck & Soya Sauce Chicken to be exact, I guess one can never have enough of those yeah?!

We spent our first 2 days here mostly in bed during the afternoons and out at night – jetlag! Times Square is the best place to be if you still want to see people (lots of them) during the night in Manhattan. We people watched and ate some hotdogs from the cart. Loved it!

We had bought tickets to go up to the Empire State together with a ferry ride to the surrounding neighborhood plus the Statue of Liberty, but the tickets are still with me up until now, we should be using it by tomorrow. Today, we walked the Brooklyn Bridge in the morning – a first for me, followed by a simple lunch at Balthazar. And now, we just finished a 4 hour afternoon nap! Hopefully our body clocks goes back to normal by tomorrow so that we can still see the afternoon sun out here in Manhattan!

I’ll check-in here again in the days to come for an update, for now, enjoy this last photo of me playing with letters!

“Cab Fix” is so me! A reflection of my daily desires to just cab it rather than to walk it. It is something that people know me by and something that I need to work on “Fixing” soon. lol!

Ciao!

Glad you are getting to see NYC! I’ve lived here my whole life, but might be moving to Singapore soon. If you get a chance and it is nice out, you should check out High Line Park!

Thanks for your recommendations. Hope you settle in well when you move to Singapore and make sure your tummy is ready for some Chicken Rice! :)
