Paris – Sore Foot & Shopping

May 4, 2012 · 2 comments in Paris Travel,Travel

We have been walking and walking all over the city since the day we arrived Paris. Walked to the sights, walked to the shops and to more shops. Never ending walking.

Sel’s feet gave up on day 1 (Paris) so we went to the pharmacy to grab this Arnica Oil to relieve the pain. It is a sign of old age, referencing back to Sel’s nickname to many “Kong-kong” (Grandpa)

Luckily, I pre-booked a city tour via L’Open Tour (hop on, hop off bus) the next day so that helped our feet recuperate while we enjoy the city’s magnificent structures.

We went around taking photos of the sights while leaving the visit to the Lourve for the following day (Day 3). We needed to be there early so as to avoid the long line of people. And so we did that yesterday – The Louvre Museum.

Below is my 2012 pic of the Mona Lisa. I did not spot any new wrinkles and she did not look any older at all.

After the Lourve, we went for a nice lunch at Il Vino and then spent the rest of our day shopping – for ourselves and from our friends’ “can you buy me this and that…” list.

Trying to squeeze all the small bags to 1 big one.

A preview of my 2012 wrist accessories collection.

We also went to the grocery to buy some snacks & sardines – by far the best canned sardines that I have ever had.

To end the day, I played the good wife and finished 1 full load of washing and drying. It took me 3 hours to finish a set last night so this morning, I loaded the 2nd batch. I am now waiting for the dryer to finish as I blog. Can’t wait to get out of here and head back to the shops! Our clothes better dry fast!
