Walking down Orchard Road (Singapore) has become a mundane thing to me these days. Nothing really exciting, nothing out of the ordinary and during Christmas, “Tree/s” are up, bright lights lined up the streets, more people and even more shopping bags – and all of these are just normal.
Last weekend, when everything seems to be just how it should be, I spotted a group of people, outside Mandarin Gallery taking photos of what seems to be something part of an outdoor installation of some sort.
I went closer to everyone and found these… cute Lee Kuan Yew plastic figurines.
I later found out that these figurines were created by artist, Chris Treewizard. There were other PAP characters too…
Spotting these really made my day and although I can’t really name half of them, it was still a fun surprise. I was back in Orchard Road the following day (Sunday) and I could not find these anywhere anymore. Wow! – The Roving Figurines… lol!
